Chad for Schofield Farms gave an eduactional and very interesting talk about his farm and all of the innovations and tasks involved to keep a farm running.

Following the lunch program, town supervisor, Rebeccca Brumagin and Cindy Ott Young delivered an informative and educational talk about the S-News-Er, a historic World War II newsletter published from February 1943 to September 1946 by editor Virgil Ott and sent to service members from Findley Lake, NY.

Kris Nappi from Uniper Care presented the home program of Uniper and supplied lunch for those in attendance. This was a wonderful opportunity for those in our community to particpate in a pilot project using Uniper through your TV to access multiple programs, games, exercise and social times. This educational Live’n Learn was presented by Ms. Jeanette Carlin from the Alzheimer’s Foundation and discussed the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s disease. We thank her for her time and the important information she gave us.
February 19, 2026 Terry and Darla Phelps presented a talk about strokes. They spoke of their personal experience that occurred when Terry experienced a stroke in November, 2025. They also spoke of the symptoms and signs of a stroke and were joined by Findley Lake’s EMTs who presented their perspective when called to the home of a stroke victim.
February 12, 2026 Lin Baylis (Nature Photographer) and Barb Cooper (Portrait Photographer) did a joint presentation about the basics of photography and how the “rules” apply to most photos, no matter the equipment used.
JANUARY 2026 Lynn Gotham, executive director from Parkinson Partners of NWP, gave a wonderful and educational talk about Parkinson’s Disease in January.
DECEMBER 2025
The special guest yesterday came from Lake Como, Italy. We zoomed with Laura Scaramello who is teaching Lin and Marlene the Italian language. She was curious about our Christmas traditions as we were of hers. It was an interactive discussion between countries while we enjoyed pizza. Thank you Lin and Marlene for arranging this program!
NOVEMBER 2025
“Join us in Nova Scotia” was a program presented by Lin and Marlene and Becky and John Faulkner after their trip to Canada. Come watch, listen and learn about this area of our neighbors to the north.
