🍂 Fall is in the air in Findley Lake! September brings cooler days, beautiful scenery, and plenty of opportunities to get outside, connect with neighbors, and enjoy all our community has to offer. From local events and seasonal celebrations to activities for all ages, there’s lots to look forward to as we welcome the first days of fall. Our “Live ‘n Learn” events are designed to inspire curiosity, friendship and enjoyment all month long.

  • Monday / Wednesday / Friday — Yoga by Zoom from home — 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. This is Vinyasa Yoga: flowing sequences linking breath to movement.🧘

  • Tuesdays — Coffee Hour — 9 - 10 a.m. Weekly coffee (and tea!) hour Tuesday mornings, in the Communi-Tea Room. Join friends and neighbors. Coffee, tea and water are provided. RSVP not needed - just join!

  • Tuesdays — Mahjong & Mexican Train (Dominos) — 1:00 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Choose the game you’d like to play or simply join to watch the fun.

  • Mondays & Wednesdays — Chair Yoga — 3 p.m. every week. Chair Yoga with Johanna in the Communi-Tea Room. Call to reserve your seat and join in the gentle stretching program.

  • Thursday Evenings — Let’s Play Card Games — 6 - 8 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Let’s Play Card Games, hosted by Pam and Keith Kadish. Bring your cards and friends or join others! We will play cards every Thursday evening! If you have a game to share, let us know. Join in the fun! ♥️ ♦️ ♠️ ♣️

  • Friday Afternoons — Learn to Line Dance — 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. (NEW TIME) in the Community Center Cafeteria. Join to learn, join to refresh your skills, join for fun! Join any session. Everyone is welcome! NOTE NEW TIME!

  • September 4 & 8 — Bingo — 1 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Winners will be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket. Come join in the fun!

  • September 8 (Tuesday) — Your Voice Matters - From the Chautauqua Office of Aging — 10:30 a.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Join to share your thoughts as the Chautauqua Office of Aging joins to gather public input and share ideas to help shape the future of aging in Chautauqua County. This will also be a Zoom event.   • September 10 — Learn About the Schofield Farms — 1 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Join for an open and informative presentation from Chad Schofield who will share his background, current pracices, ongoing environmental improvements, history of the farm and more. More detail.

  • September 11 — Zoomers @ Paradise Bay Campground — Join the Zoomers at Paradise Bay Campground, 2360 Shadyside Rd., Findley Lake for a tour, refreshments and lunch (no cost)! Please park in grass near pavilion closest to the road. More information. RSVP required - call (716) 769-2473 by September 4th to reserve your spot.

  • September 22 — Zoomers @ Laff ‘n’ Lyon Ranch — Join the Zoomers at Laff ‘n’ Lyon Ranch for a one hour horse drawn wagon ride. Time: 4:30 p.m. Location: 8312 Harrington Rd., Sherman.   • September 24 — Boomerangs — 1 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Discover the fascinating world of boomerangs, the iconic flying objects, with local Findley Laker and boomerang enthusiast Mickey Kinley! Mickey will share the story behind his passion, give us a look at his unique boomerang collection, and explain how he got started, how boomerangs are made, and what makes them fly—and, of course, return!
