August 2025

  • Monday / Wednesday / Friday — Yoga by Zoom — 8:45 - 9:45 a.m.

  • Tuesdays — Mahjong & Dominos & Mexican Train — 1:00 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Choose the game you’d like to play.

  • Tuesdays — Coffee Hour — 9 - 10 a.m. Weekly coffee (and tea!) hour Tuesday mornings, in the Communi-Tea Room. Join friends and neighbors. Coffee, tea and water are provided. RSVP not needed - simply join!

  • August 8 — Full Moon Kayak Ride 8:30 p.m., meet at the south end of the big island for the Full Moon (“Sturgeon Moon”) Kayak Ride to experience the full moon on Findley Lake. This is a weather-permitting event, so please call Christy if you are interested so you can be notified if a rain date is needed. If you need a place to put in your kayak or canoe, let us know and we can help. Bring snacks, relax and enjoy the view!

  • August 8 & 22 — Bingo 1 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Winners will be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket.

  • August 14 — French Creek 101 1:00 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Join and meet Kaitlyn Carlson, Education & Outreach Coordinator for the French Creek Valley Conservancy. Learn how you can help to protect the French Creek watershed.

  • August 19 — Games for the Brain 1:00 p.m. in the Communi-Tea Room. Join Teymour Shahabi for group games - practice word association, nonverbal communication, memory, team building and more - while having FUN! Teymour is an award-winning author, quantitative research professional and graduate of Harvard University and Oxford University with degrees in comparative literature and mathematics.

  • August 20 — Sunset Sounds on the Lake with The Goats with a Special Tribute to Jimmy Cooper 6 - 7:30 p.m. Meet at the gazebo on Main Street to hear the band. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a fun evening of music.

  • August 21 — Let’s Tye Dye a T-Shirt 1:00 p.m in the outside pavilion at the Community Center. Bring a cotton t-shirt and we will provide the rest. Put on the 1960’s wear and travel back in time.
