The Zoomers have taken on the great responsibility of helping Community Connections by planning fun activities and events. They have managed this journey with great enthusiasm and are eager to create more gatherings for the entire community to join in.

Greenfield Basket Factory Tour & Dining at Vinnies - 3/30/26

The Zoomers had a wonderful visit to the Greenfield Basket Factory! 🧺 What a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how beautiful baskets are made, starting with locally sourced logs all the way to finished products.

We enjoyed learning that every part of the log is thoughtfully used, with wood scraps helping heat the building. Sustainability in action!

The factory creates an amazing variety of baskets. Exciting news: a retail shop will be opening soon so visitors can purchase their own handcrafted favorites.

A big thank you to the wonderful team at Greenfield Basket Factory for welcoming us and sharing your craft with us. Everyone had a great time! Check out their website to learn more and watch for the new retail shop opening: greenfieldbasketmanufacturing.com.

After the tour, there was a gathering at Vinnie’s Restaurant and Bar for a delicious meal, along with fun conversations. We enjoyed the day or browsing, laughter and good food! Thank you to the team at Vinnie’s for the fabulous food, service and hospitality!

2nd Annual Ron Moore Tubing Night 🎉

The Zoomers embraced winter at Peek’n Peak! With snow flying and fresh chilly air, they hit the tubing hill and raced down again and again. Lots of laughter and winter joy! ❄️ 🛷

After the outdoor excitement, they warmed up and relaxed at Bistro 210 with a delicious meal with amazing service, great conversation and smiles.

Frosty air, fast tubing, warm food and wonderful friends! It was a terrific evening. Huge thank you to Scott and Penny for organizing another magical winter adventure with the Zoomers!

Day of Discovery, Learning and Good Company

The Zoomers enjoyed a truly engaging and informative day. The group met first to explore Findley Lake’s newest business, Organic Blooms. Co-owner Michelle Brumagin, welcomed and led an educational tour filled with thoughtful insights and lively discussion. Michelle generously shared her knowledge and answered questions.

Each participant left with a tote bag full of helpful resources and take-home materials including information on the history of human use of cannabis and the medical conditions and symptoms it may help address, making the experience both memorable and meaningful.

After the tour, many continued the day at Alexander’s on the Lake, gathering over great food and even better conversation.

A heartfelt thank you to Organic Blooms and Alexander’s on the Lake for helping make this day such a success!

October 29 — Homemade dinner at Ada Miller's Farm

What a wonderful fall gathering! The Zoomers shared a hearty dinner and plenty of laughter at Ada Miller’s Farm. Twenty-eight friends came together to enjoy great food, great company and the golden glow of autumn. Many thanks to Penny and Scott Benza for organizing such a delightful event and many thanks to Ada and her team for providing such a delicious meal!

September 2025 — Alexander’s for socializing

Winged it at Wing Night! Zoomers had a lively evening of fun at Alexander’s on the Lake, enjoying Wing Night and camaraderie. Fun patio and the beautiful view of Findley Lake. The food was great and company made it a perfect evening. Thank you to Alexander’s for the fabulous food and venue and to Molly for great service!

July 2025 — Sunnyside Creamery

Here is the scoop! The Zoomers enjoyed a sweet summer evening with a trip to Sunnyside Creamery, where the hardest part was choosing from all the amazing flavors (yes, we tasted more than one.) Sixteen friends — old and new — shared laughs and plenty of toppings.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to support this fantastic new local business. Here is to more ice cream nights ahead!

What a fun afternoon at Churchill’s Bourbon and Brew at Presque Isle Downs! We enjoyed an amazing meal and each other’s company, along with taking in the excitement of a horse race with majestic horses! Want in on the fun? Anyone and everyone can be a Zoomer. Join us for the next event!

Zoomers had a blast tubing at Peak’n Peek for the “Get Your Kid On” event, flying down the slopes, with laughter echoing through the crisp winter air in this magical winter wonderland! Afterward, we warmed up with a cozy dinner at Bistro 210, still grinning from all the fun. Thank you Scott and Penny for organizing this fun and lively event!
